I know blatantly talking about bowel movements can be taboo but lets face it, having regular bowel movements is not only key to being healthy, it's also key to weight loss. How else will your body rid itself of extra fat, toxins, and waste? I know for many ladies how private or uncomfortable this subject maybe and there are a lot of us out there who are very choosy of when and where you decide to free your peoples in fear of what others may say. Yet, being healthy should be more of a priority than what complete strangers think of you, or how unlady like it may seem to blow up a public restroom! But on a serious note, normal bowel movement range from 3 times a day to 3 times a week. However, if you feel bloated and discomfort than chances are you're constipated. If you're not having regular bms just imagine what's going on in your intestines; a mixture of dairy, proteins and other foods turning rancid and rotting, clinging to your intestine walls just waiting to pass through. Gross- A- Ronni right!? Of course, bacteria can begin to grow and manifest which could lead to intestinal issues, even lead to diseases like cancer and what not in your digestion track. So what can one do to be and stay regular? A few tips:
Eat more fiber:
Fiber is important to add to your diet because it eases defecation. You can use powder fiber drinks, and other food products that include fiber, or consume more fruits and veggies. Oats, whole wheat, lentils, sweet potatoes are also good sources of fiber.
Exercise more:
You don't have to indulge in vigorous exercise to assist in having more bms, going for a walk for 30 mins or so will do.
If you are on a weight loss plan, your bms should increase and you may want to do a cleanse before you start a weight loss plan. When I started a weight loss plan, I didn't' think doing a cleanse would increase my weight loss, and so I waited to do a cleanse. Once I went through I body cleanse, I felt really good, and more weight came off. Whether you're losing weight or staying healthy, one should consider doing a cleanse quarterly with every season. There are many cleansing products on the market today more than ever because most link a cleanse with weight loss. BEWARE! Not all cleansing products are good for you neither will they all be effective! Using something like a colon cleanse will also take out the good bacteria your body needs to properly digest foods so make sure your cleanse includes probiotics or eat yogurt during your cleanse to restore the good bacteria. I use a cleanse from the symmetry line called Paracleanse. It's an all nature supplement in pill form that I take 3 times a day with at least 8 cups of water daily. The cleanse last for 14 days, includes probiotics, and it also rids your body of parasites. Go to www.symmetrydirect.com/tburkett to find out more about the paracleanse and other supplements.
Until next post!!
